Mike Mele leads Cushman & Wakefield’s national Self-Storage Advisory Group, which represents clients ranging from private investors to large-scale REITs in the development, expansion, consolidation, acquisition and disposition of self-storage assets.
Based in Tampa, the 16-member, multi-market team has closed more than 350 self-storage transactions totaling more than $3.5 billion. In 2020, the team brokered more than $655 million in deals.
Notable transactions in 2020 include the sale of the Extra Space Storage Portfolio in Memphis for $41 million; the sale of the Save Green Portfolio in North Carolina for $41 million and the sale of Morena Self-Storage in San Diego, CA for $34 million.
