In Philadelphia, Hether Smith, who has been with Savills for more than 30 years, and her colleagues Jay Joyce and Catherine Pullen represented Jefferson Health Systems of Philadelphia’s most significant commercial transactions of 2020 and the largest deal in Philadelphia for the year.

The team negotiated the development of Jefferson’s $762-million Specialty Care Pavilion, a 19-story build-to-suit, Center City high-rise building that represented the largest construction project in the city of Philadelphia for 2020 and the single largest real estate investment by Jefferson in its nearly 200-year history. As part of the transaction, Savills also negotiated the purchase of an adjacent pad site, also above the underground garage, with a development capacity of 188,000 square feet.

All told, in 2020, Smith, Joyce and Pullen executed 64 transactions totaling 3,285,638 square feet. Highlights include representing clients such as Axalta Coating Systems and Nemours duPont Pediatrics.
