In 2020, the Gabuzzi/Lloyd/Cook team completed more than 100 separate transactions representing 380,000 rentable square feet and $60 million in new lease considerations, despite the challenging market conditions created by the pandemic. And the impact of some of these transactions on the overall marketplace was significant. Some of the most notable transactions included the repositioning of Park Central Mall into the preeminent mixed-use office park in midtown Phoenix, a redevelopment that is reshaping the overall real estate landscape in our urban core.

The team completed numerous leases at the property including deals with Gainshare Inc. (15,000 RSF), District Medical Group (58,000 RSF) and Bridgestone (12,000 RSF). These deals represented some of the largest transactions in central Phoenix during a time when the pandemic was resulting in a flood in the market of cheap plug-and-play sublease space. The team was able to position the project to show the many long term benefits of the live-work-play property that appealed to the long-term outlooks and strategies for these companies to locate at Park Central.

Additionally, the Plaza team continued to take advantage of the growth in the medical and bioscience sectors to lead the medical office brokerage marketplace, and position a broad portfolio of medical properties for success. Medical office properties leased included both on-campus and off-campus opportunities, as the team focused on ensuring the adaptability of medical office product in the evolving healthcare landscape. Finally, the Plaza team's tenant representation business continued to grow with multiple new transactions completed with practices and companies such as Serenity TMS, Center for Neurology and Spine, Pinnacle Vein and Vascular Center, Valley Surgical Clinics and Clear Title Agency of Arizona.
