Colliers Chicago’s Jeff Devine and Steven Disse continued their streak as one of the most active and successful capital markets teams in the Midwest in 2020. Despite the pandemic, the duo continued to demonstrate its ability to draw capital from a range of domestic and international sources, driving pricing levels to new heights.

Disse and Devine teamed with Eastdil Secured to complete the year’s largest, Chicago-area only industrial portfolio sale in February 2020. The team represented CenterPoint Properties in the sale of 27 industrial facilities to Blackstone/LINK Industrial in February 2020 for more than $390 million.

Further, Devine and Disse represented a joint venture between Ryan Companies and Allstate Investments in the $65-million sale of a recently developed 145,000-square-foot last-mile logistics facility in Chicago that is fully leased to the world’s largest e-commerce company. A far-reaching marketing process culminated in the sale to a Mexico-based private partnership—the buyer’s first investment in the Chicago area. The deal marked a record low cap rate for a Chicago industrial asset and the highest price per square foot ever paid in the Chicago market.
